We’ve been posting alot about TEDxChange (what is it?, Attendees 1|2|3 ). The venue for TEDxDubai TEDxChange  has been finalized and it will the auditorium of the Dubai Chamber building in Deira. The conference will start at 18.00 and end at 20.30. Please try and be at the center at least 15 minutes before 18.00 to avoid waiting in line at the registration desk.

As you probably know the building is located on the creek ( Deira side ) and at that time ( 18.00 ) traffic will be congested. We strongly recommend you to carpool or even better take public transport (the option of parking at Deira City Center and take a cab from there is an advisable one).

If you are a typical Dubai hardcore driver and you want to park as close as possible to the venue there is a parking opposite the building and near to the Municipality. Here is the Google Map of the location and for more info

This event will be on 20th of September 2010. The speakers will be from across the community, thinkers & doers who are contributing with changes that reflect in a way or another on the MDG, and to the well being of humanity.

This TEDx will be live streamed to all the TEDx partners across the globe. TEDxDubai will be partnering with TEDxChange and to shed some light on the people from Dubai’s community who are contributing in a way or another to the same causes.

Iman Ben Chaibah and Uzma Atcha will be co curating this edition of TEDxDubaiChange that will take place on September 20 in a venue still tbc.

In year 2000, the United Nations (UN)...

In year 2000, the United Nations (UN) defined 8 major goals to reduce extreme poverty in the globe by year 2015. Those goals were named as: “Millennium Development Goals” (MDG).

This year, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has a parallel vision to the UN’s MDG, decided to co-host with TED a TEDxChange event on the 10th anniversary of the MDG commandment. This TEDx will reflect on the MDG achievements that happened during the last 10 years and what still needs to be done. All of this will be under the slogan “The Future We Make”.

This event will be on 20th of September 2010. The speakers will be from across the community, thinkers & doers who are contributing with changes that reflect in a way or another on the MDG, and to the wellbeing of humanity. TEDxBahrainona – IDEAS worth SPREADING

Yesterday in an island in the Persian Gulf between between 7 to 10PM, GMT +3. A group of people came together share, teach, inspire and spread their ideas. TEDxBahrainona in the spirit of ideas worth spreading, wanted to bring people together to share a TED-like ideas from Bahrain to honor  it and its people.

As everyone knows Emiratweet supports the spirit of TED therefore we and our correspondent Iman Ben Chaibah who was at TEDxBahrainona yesterday we were able to tweet all what happened yesterday to the world via twitter. Great job well done all , And as an acknowledgment we got this:

Iman is a gift to TEDxBahrainona. She was there for us when we were having birth pains and she was there for us yesterday when we have to be offline to proceed with the program. Thank you Iman. Thank you EmiraTweet. Thank you TEDxDubai! – TEDxBahrainona
