His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, said today: “The Zayed National Museum is destined to become an inspiring permanent reminder of the vision handed down to us from the father of our nation, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to unite all Emiratis and build a strong and prosperous nation.”
The design and program of the Zayed National Museum was presented in Abu Dhabi. This is the UAE’s first national museum that will feature the life and achievements of the founding President of the United Arab Emirates, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The museum, which will bring to life the UAE’s rich history, will also serve as a memorial to Sheikh Zayed and is set to stand alongside the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the Louvre Abu Dhabi amongst the iconic Saadiyat Island Cultural District’s institutions.
The design for the Zayed National Museum was officially unveiled today by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stated: “The Zayed National Museum, named after our beloved leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, will be a template of the UAE’s cultural traditions, set in the midst of our nation’s glorious heritage. It is with great pride that we keep his memory alive and close to our hearts.” The museum will showcase Sheikh Zayed’s story and the lasting influence of his reforms. Sheikh Zayed’s concept of a modernised nation determined by strong guiding principles of education, culture, faith and the protection of the environment made him one of the world’s most respected leaders.
Conceived as a monument and memorial to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding president of the UAE, the Zayed National Museum will be the centrepiece of the Saadiyat Island Cultural District and will showcase the history, culture and more recently the social and economic transformation of the Emirates.
Architecturally, the aim has been to combine a highly efficient, contemporary form with elements of traditional Arabic design and hospitality to create a museum that is sustainable, welcoming and culturally of its place. In November 2, 2004. We lost a leader, father and teacher. Sheikh Zayed still lives in our hearts and minds. He touched our lives and made us strong. His vision of a better world to live in inspired us and his legacy will be passed on in generations to come. Sheikh Khalifa continues Zayed’s legacy, we all have faith in him.

The late Sheikh Zayed was admired by all of us he was a relatively simple man who guarded his people’s culture and traditions and presented a civilized image of the UAE to the rest of the world; he was the undisputed father of his nation. He was especially respected all over the world due to his pro-western stance, and his reputation as a moderate and gentle ruler.
Throughout history, few leaders can have experienced the amount of radical changes that Sheikh Zayed has witnessed. Fewer still could reflect on them in the knowledge that they chose and acted in accordance with their beliefs and for the betterment of humanity, regardless of personal cost, financial or otherwise. Sheikh Zayed has the love and admiration of his people and international recognition and respect, all of which he has earned many times over. On the 2nd of November Sheikh Zayed, the nation leader passed away, after a log journey of giving, achievements and development of people and land. In line of the his vision, the nation keeps going under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of united Arab Emirates and the members of the Supreme Council of Rulers and their crown princess.
Pakistan received the first parts of the electric power station on Thursday, which was donated by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan to help the Pakistani government address the power shortage. It is scheduled that all parts of the power plant with a capacity of 320 megawatts will reach Pakistan in three stages, of which the last will be at the end of October.
Pakistan’s Geo TV channel said the kind gesture came from President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan during the visit of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari to Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani president said that the station is dedicated to the people of Pakistan and will greatly assist in meeting the immediate needs of power, stressing that people will never forget this noble gesture, which he described as a symbol of love and fidelity.
Today is a day we will never forget its the day Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan became Ruler of Abu Dhabi. Since 6 August 1966, and within weeks a massive development program was underway. Schools, hospitals, roads and housing were constructed. Sheikh Zayed‘s vision had always extended beyond the borders of Abu Dhabi.
44 years and Sheikh Zayed‘s vision has been the reason for the development of the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Zayed captivated the people living on this land with a vision of a country with emirates that would unite for strength, so that all people might benefit from it. This has helped the UAE to grow its industry, education and other important sectors.
Sheikh Zayed was described as ‘a man of peace and vision’ .. Our father our legend was a great man he had interest in many kind of sports such as, falcon ‘s hunting riding horses and camels. He engorged education and working women. He build schools and universities. He hated wars and thought everything could work out with consolation. He was so kind with children and old people. He engorged young people to have a strong believe in their religion. He support agriculture at U.A.E and changed the desert to green haven. He engorged males to be an army to protect their country.
Today is a day we remember our father, our legend the founder of the United Arab Emirates for all what he have done to his people and country … May he rest in peace.
He was a noble man who loved his country and saw us citizens and his own children. A father who had taught us:
No one could ever measure how much this man offered to us his people, his country and the world. You have left this world, but the memory of you will always and forever remain in out hearts….
