Dear Mr. Sakr, I would like to thank you and your team for showing Hasan and I the commitment of your time and meeting with us earlier today. Please find below a summary of points on today’s meeting:
  1. We re-iterated to you the purpose of our meeting which was to restore our honor and reverse the humiliation we went through and compensate us for our time and effort
  2. We conveyed to you in detail the series of events that occurred on Wednesday 07/07/2010. We highlighted moments of clear offense by your staff and explained elements of repetitive accounts of humiliation.
  3. We clarified to you the significance of the matter to us and how important this is for our honor and pride.
  4. You stated the obligations you have towards the party from Dubai Select and we testified that that issue has got no relevance to us and is a matter between your staff and them.
  5. We clarified that we would accept nothing less than a public apology and disciplinary action (removal of all responsibilities as security personnel and termination if necessary) against the two security officers Bahaa and Yaser.
  6. You and your team acknowledged the significance of the matter and showed interest in resolving the issue.
  7. Your team clearly doubted our truthfulness as was expressed explicitly and promised initiating further investigation before any apology or disciplinary action can be provided.
  8. You and your team offered us a table in the tent for tonight’s World Cup final match as guests of Jumeirah International.
  9. You and your team offered us free stay at your hotel suites.
  10. We refused and rejected all your hotel stay offers and insisted on a public apology from the 2 security staff Bahaa and Yaser.
  11. We conditionally accepted your offer to the game at the tent at Mina Salam if we receive a public apology on the microphone, as is only fair, as mentioned in the email below.
  12. You and your team refused to accept offering any such apology at this evening’s event and insisted on booking a table for us.
  13. You offered to join our table personally and commit your time this evening.
  14. We re-iterated that it would be a shameful disgrace to our honor and pride to enter the same tent where we were humiliated without a public apology.
We are extremely disappointed for the way the situation was handled today and ever since the problem arose. We were hoping that you would understand the significance of this issue. The least we were expecting to obtain was a public apology from the two security staff at tonight’s event, which we would have whole-heartedly accepted to end this matter. We have lost faith in your team in being able to help us restore our honor and do not foresee any willingness to provide us with a public apology.  Therefore, as per the email below, we have regretfully begun seeking alternative manners of escalation in order to get our honor back and to receive the public apology demanded. We look forward to hearing back from you regarding the investigation and the disciplinary actions against the security personnel. Once again, we would like to emphasize that we are not looking for any material gain out of this. We would only like to restore our honor that was snatched away from us publicly.
