His Highness Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has passed away today at dawn Sheikh Saqr al Qasimi, believed to be in his 90s, ruled Ras Al Khaimah, for over 60 years. He was believed to be the world’s longest serving ruler. The official mourning has been declared with effect from Wednesday for a week through which the flags will be flown at half mast.
