“Values in Leadership” Award

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of General Women’s Union Supreme Chairperson of Family Development Foundation received the “Values in Leadership” award from the Institute of “East West” in the United States of America in recognition of the role of Her Highness the pioneer and continuity in supporting Emirati women. HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs received the award on behalf of Her Highness during the reception held by the Institute at the Emirates Palace this evening to mark the occasion. Sheikha Fatima launched a national campaign to educate girls because Her Highness believes that illiteracy is the first obstacle. She established the Women’s Union in 1975 to educate women and eliminate illiteracy among adult women.
