Laylat Al Qadr

Laylat Al Qadr or the Night of...

Laylat Al Qadr or the Night of Power is the night when the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) holds a very special significance for Muslims around the world. It falls on odd days in the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, for example, on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, or the 29th day of this month. This holiest night, when the faithful are advised to pray throughout, is revered by Muslims around the world as the reward for worship in this night is better than the worship of a thousand months.

The Prophet said: “The person who offered prayers to Allah in the Night of Power with faith and with hope of reward from Allah, all his past sins have been forgiven.” (Hadith: Bukhari)

Millions gather at Holy Mosques seeking Lailat Al-Qadr blessings and stay awake during the nights of Laylat al-Qadr reciting Quran and pray for Allah’s forgiveness and blessings.
