The Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal ministries and departments will start from Wednesday, Ramadan 29 (September
, until Shawwal 3, 1431 Hijri year. Work will resume on the fourth day of Shawwal, according to a circular issued by the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Human Resources Authority, Humaid Obaid Al Qutami.
For the private sector will fall on Shawwal 1 and Shawwal 2, according to a circular issued by the Minister of Labour, Saqr Gobash. The official two-day holiday is to be accounted for as a paid holiday for all those working in private sector companies and institutions.
He congratulated President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates on the advent of the Eid Al Fitr, wishing them good health.
