Emiratweet Social Media Day

Mashable is celebrating social media day as they said, “As far as we know, there is no official Social Media Day. But we do think there should be one. So we invite you to celebrate the revolution of media becoming a social dialogue by attending or organizing a Social Media Day meetup in your area on June 30. What better way to celebrate social media than connecting with other enthusiasts in your area?

Nowadays we are getting exposed to social media in a way or another. We Emiratis have opened up to such media and adapted to it so quickly and by doing so we are now recognized in many different aspects in life such as politics, economics, film making and more. On the other hand, we can’t not look at the dark side which is the miss use and we belief this is happening because of lack of awareness. We tend to jump on every new platform or form of media. Flickr, facebook, twitter, foursquare, etc. just for the sake of curiosity. Therefore we thought of bringing together a group of Emiratis who have been an icon of social media in there own way to talk about social media here in UAE, How its effecting us? why do you use it? what comes out of it?, etc.
