The UAE should consider allowing its young entrepreneurs the freedom to innovate without government supervision, support or bureaucracy by creating the right circumstances and environment where ideas can flourish. Sometimes the younger generation knows better which ideas will fly than the mature adults who are supervising them. In fact, the genius of an entrepreneur, whether it is Bill Gates or a young Emirati, is that he or she can imagine opportunities that others can’t. – Sultan Sooud Al QassemiA worth reading piece. Emirati Young Entrepreneurs
– June 13, 2010

This is a really worth reading article. I totally agree with it as it is presenting the reality that we are living when the UAE encourages youth entrepreneurs and yet most of not all the procedures are stopping them from doing so !
Listening to many celebrates and how did they achieve their dreams to be big names and not having the chance to do so is really frustrating !
Your blog keeps getting better and better! I’ve been following your posts for a couple of weeks now and I gotta say that your older articles don’t offer as much insight as the newer ones. Your writing is constantly improving! BTW, if you’re looking into placing some ads on your blog – you should really do it. Don’t go for all that 3rd party crap – Use a nice WordPress monetization tool coded by a friend of mine which by far the best, it’s a must have plugin for any serious blogger. You can find it at Thaidy.com/Top10WordPressPlugins and give it a free test-run (To make it easier for you, I linked my name to the site). Oh, and there is a nice discount coupon in the sidebar of the mainpage for you.
Keep up the good work pal!
thank you
Glad that you think this way ..
Hi,
I am glad to see that you support the young entrepreneurs. I think that starting a business is a real challange especially when you are young and almost nobody trust you.
I think that you could open a “forum” where people can post some ideas and can find parteneres. I am sure that there are a lot of people that cannot start a business because they do not have the right partener/s.
Also, this forum can be useful for finding “investors” or “business angels”, meaning people willing to invest, offering the start-up amount in exchange of a procentage of the new business. If you can find like 3 or 5 business angels you can open a competition of projects and they can choose the best ides to finance.
I am glad I discovered your webpage. I will follow you because I am new in Dubai and need a lot of information
Wish you good luck!
One of the drivers of an economy is entrepreneurship, it is new ideas and businesses that inject innovation, new jobs and new funding into an economy. One of the challenges that young entrepreneurs face is fear of the unknown and lack of clarity around where to start and where to go. The article talks about bureaucracy which is an obstacle but more than that it is the lack of mentorship programs and funding through Venture Capitals or Business Incubators.
We can take responsibility and action by being pro-active about how we support entrepreneurs and one way we can do that is by volunteering to mentor and coach creative individuals. I for one am willing to offer 2 hours a month of free life coaching & mentorship to young entrepreneurs. So if anyone is of need of this service then I will take on 3 individuals at this time and do my bit in supporting them through this wonderfully challenging journey.
Many thanks for sharing this wonderful post. Please hold up this weblog as ensure that it is an example of my preferred web site in my reader, with thanks
